Fishing King (Alcedo atthis)

Had a lovely morning today in the company of one old friend and one new, namely Thomas of Melton and Kim.

It was great seeing you both, I hope he put in another visit or 2 after I had left. I really look forward to seeing your cracking pictures. I'm afraid this was best of my bunch.

Way better than any Kingfisher shot that I've taken though! A superb pose and some very nice colour.
