Tailless Brown Thrasher (Toxostoma rufum)

A regular visitor to our feeders this winter, the lack of a tail doesn't seem to interfere with its ability to fly (or feed)
Habitat
Suburban
Location
Marietta, Georgia
Date taken
February 10, 2011
Scientific name
Toxostoma rufum
Equipment used
Canon S3IS
I have a Tailless Thrasher in my front yard feeder.
I know i have a Thrasher family on a dense Sea grape trees, have seen adulds and babies but this one with out tail is just like the one in you photo. I do not think is accidental but can not find information on this variation

I have at least one tailless Thrasher who visits my feeders periodically.
I am located at Suburban Greater Pinellas Point St. Petersburg Florida and last saw her June 6th 2021
