Common frog (Rana temporaria)

Every spring, in the breeding season, we get around 100 of these in a pond 4mtrs by 3 mtrs. They make a beautiful sight when they all stick their heads up, showing off their white bib and their combined sound is like a big cat purring. Wonderful.

But an uncommonly fetching one! Love that glowing eye, and the one leaf of duckweed casually 'styled' on his nose ;-)

Brilliant capture of this gorgeous frog. Outstanding lighting, focus, color, detail, dof, setting, with a gorgeous reflection. First-rate!!!
