Stealthy squacco (Ardeola ralloides)

Another bird from my trip to The Ebro Delta... a few of these marvelously cool birds over winter here now and I was lucky enough to find one. A few moments after this shot it was gulping down an eel :)

That's a terrific shot Kev and the detail is excellent. It's a super pose too, in habitat.
 
Oh yes, very stealthy behaviour. A lovely shot with wonderful lighting.
