Black Redstart.

Very harsh sunlight meant a heap of trouble trying to avoid shadow and washed out highlights, and this little fella did not help matters by changing its perch every few seconds!

Wish i had caught the male i had seen earlier in full adult breeding plumage, with gleaming silver white wing panels. I love this species though, and this drabber looking bird still shows the elegance they possess.
