Seen while visiting Wildsumaco Lodge in the eastern Andean foothills of Ecuador/
Considered vulnerable, this bird is endemic to the eastern Andes from southern Colombia to northern Peru at altitudes above 1000m.

They appear to have provided a useful common name for this gem (lol). Great find, capture and picture Sungrebe!!!!!
