Red-Winged Blackbird
Taken near the Sundial Bridge (Redding, CA, USA).

You could say this is a "new" one for me. We have scores of Red-Winged Blackbirds near where I live (San Leandro, CA, USA), but they are apparently a population of "bicolor blackbirds" (A. p. gubernator) because they are all but missing the yellow stripe.

So when my girlfriend took photos in Yreka, CA and I took these on our vacation in Redding and I saw the yellow I really was wow'd.

Odd, eh?

After all that is said, blackbirds are tough to get good photos of with my camera, so I was still quite pleased with this one.
