I'm not too sure why the sunset was yellow.... but did think it looked lovely.

We didn't have good weather really at this time, and I seem to remember the sun came out just as it was setting LOL

A plethora of water droplets in the open atmosphere will reflect certain wavelengths back to the visible side of the clouds. As the sun drops lower, the angle of incidence approaches the red spectrum, yellow being most of the way to red. It's common to see before thunderstorms and tornados in the evening.

A lovely sunset Delia, a good deal better than any of of mine. I like the silhouettes with just a hint of shadow detail, against the delicate golden tones of the sky. A nicely balanced composition too. Top marks.
