White-throated Rail
Second photo in Birdforum. We spent some hours hunting for these birds. We could hear them calling in the thick undergrowth beside the river, but they refused to come out. So we returned to the hotel, and one ran around the courtyard almost under our feet! Had to take the extender off to fit it in.

Lol! Excellent. However, you took the opportunity - what a cracking picture!

Reminds me of driving around the Isle of Arran looking for red deer, and stopping and photographing small red blobs far away in the distance, and then arriving at Lochranza and huge red deer in everyone's gardens...!

You have got a fabulous picture of this Rail-always difficult on a stop whistle tour,compared to trying for rails near home!.Thanks for sharing guys!
