Bee Fly
Bee Fly (Poecilanthrax lucifer: Bombyliidae) 1.0-1.3 cm (0.39-0.51 in) long. Female ovipositing on a concrete sidewalk (poor thing).
Habitat
Gulf Coast Prairies and Marshes Vegetational Area. Butterfly garden at entrance to refuge at ca. 2 m (6.6 ft) elevation.
Location
Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge, Chambers County, Texas, USA.
