American Bumblebee (male)
American Bumblebee (Bombus pensylvanicus: Apidae) ca. 2.0 cm (0.79 in) long. Male, species sexually dimorphic. Foraging on Prairie Blazing Star (Liatris pycnostachya: Asteraceae).
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah Vegetational Area. Planted garden within the arboretum at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation.
Location
Brazos County Arboretum, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA.
