"Bin Bird" (Threskiornis molucca)

The very first lifer bird I saw in OZ. Australian White Ibis are rapidly "taking over" the bin bird role in urban spaces. I think this one was taken in the Chinese Friendship Garden.

interesting information about the bin bird thing, I only saw these ibises in natural habitats. Lovely closeup, Ann, top job, many tfs!!!
 
another great capture from down below...well done doc...the buzzard was very tame indeed and she loved eating honey off a tea spoon but !!! when i flew her i had to make sure there was not a dog in sight for she would go after it...she lived till she was 16 years old.....

Well that's an impressive guy to have as the first Oz Lifer, isn't it!!!

That's a super picture you've taken of this ibis lass. Wonderful work.
