Tree Swallow in Flight (Tachycineta bicolor)

Quite a few of these swallows were skimming over an open pond in the vernal pools at San Luis National Wildlife Refuge in central California. With much patience and a big memory card, I was able to catch a few in flight when they were down low with green and brown grasses in the background.
