Willow or Marsh Tit?
I never know which is which. I presume it's the more common Marsh Tit. If anyone can ID this I'd appreciate it. Thank you.
Habitat
Woodland
Location
New Forest
Scientific name
Poecile montanus or Poecile palustris
Equipment used
Canon 7D
I am not sure but I would say it is a willow tit. Its crown is dull and not glossy and it has a pale wing panel. And its cheek seems to be wholly white. A wonderful close-up of this tit, Alan.

don't worry alan 99% can't tell the diffrence and half of the 1% are wrong, the only sure way to tell is their song...a great capture...well done.....

Thanks to all for your ID input and comments, much appreciated:) I think it most likely to be a Marsh Tit as the distribution of the Willow Tit doesn't seem to include the New Forest.

Alan.
