Another Hellish russula (Russula)

This one I did get the stalk and open gills, as there was a broken one beside it, but still no use for ID apparently.

However, I learnt a new term "mycorrhizae partner"! However, Nick (Trichia) came up with the explanation in my ID thread, which you can read here, as it's much too long for me to precis on here.

Nicely illustrated D! There are so many Mushrooms so it must get hard trying to figure them all out.
 
You sure found a great setting for this one. I had no idea there were so many names for what I've always just called pretty mushrooms.
