It's strange how.....

..... I seemed to come across groups of other wildlife (with not a bird in between!)

Now for a few 'dragons'. I hardly have any dragonfly species in my Gallery and as I wasn't really aware of Bluets before, wanted to record this one even though it's such a poor image (taken against the sun).

Again information from a thread, with tentative ID given as [I]Coenagrion[/I] sp. or [I]Enallagma cyathigerum[/I].

I think this is probably a Northern bluet, aka Common bluet, aka Common damselfly. Common they may be, but they are quite beautiful, and I have now read that they're important for the climate responsiveness of wetlands (but haven't read enough about it to explain what effects they have).

Damselfies and Dragonflies can be challenging, but photography wise and identification wise. Excellent capture D!
 
Your camera AF has focused more on front folage , but dragonfly is very well seen behind , very nice shot dear Delia , many TFS MF ;)
