Bushtit
This tiny mouse-like species is restricted to Western North America. It is the sole American member of the Aegithalidae (Long-tailed Tit) family which has several other species in Eurasia. They all build unusual large hanging nests. Highly social, especially in winter, flocks often move into gardens where they help control aphid infestations. The pale eye indicates this is an adult female.
