Thanks Adrian. I'm a bit embarrassed by my photos on this site, but I have seen some great things, and I wanted to show them even though the photos are not on the same level as all the rest here. I didn't know how dropped out from the world I was until I saw this site. I got this Cannon 2.0 pixel camera three years ago and have been floating around oblivious to what is out there. Believe it or not, the acacias and Shumma Island really did look that dull and bright at the same time.

Love that sky. Forget that comment above, we're all here to seek improvement & share moments of beauty.

Gerry.

Hi again. No need to be embarrassed. I don't quite know what Gerry meant by "forget the comment above" since I agree entirely with his closing comment.

I look forward to your next post.

Hi again Adrian. I think he was referring to my being embarrassed comment.

What a vast land. The shimerring light is so seen beautifully and the far end moutain on the left is remaining me of our Mount Kinabalu which is the highest mountain in Malaysia and most probably in Asia.
Thanks for sharing that lovely and beautifull scenic photo.

Whoops...I think you are right..my apologies...unreserved.

I have done a reply to your question on stonechat females and put in a top ID tip for those new to birding.

Thanks, Karim. I enjoyed Malaysia very much. Of course, going by sailbaot, we spent most of the time next to islands. I especially liked Pangkor and Langkawi. I didn't get much birding in as I had broken my back after hitting a reef off Port Dickson. It looks as though I missed a lot. I saw Hornbills on Pangkor, but only because they roosted in the trees around the restaurants. Talk to you later.
