Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia)

Taken from my van on a window mount; he barely fit into the frame. We were told where he liked to perch near the road and drove at a crawl with no Owl in sight. When we got to "his" post, he flew up from the ground to his perch.. what amazing luck.
