Juvenile Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus)

This is what a Juvenile Flamingo looks like before it colour changes from eating shrimp - Opus only shows the adult from the Americas which seems to have more pink on its back compared to the European one

Still quite an elegant bird !

i saw many of these last September and when i reported it to our Ornithology Society they would not believe me, insisting it is not a breeding here.

fantastic capture as ever.

LOL "My friend the Wind" song that what i had in mind when i saw how the wind blowing her feathers. it is a real cool song i attended a concert for him 8 years ago in Lebanon and he sung it it was gorgeous, he is very popular here.
