Black Bittern (Ixobrychus flavicollis)

Looks like the arrival of the monsoon attracted the bitterns, as we spotted several Black Bitterns on our one day trip to Lake Kolleru... last Sunday when it drizzled all day long....we were shooting from the car with flies buzzing continuously inside!!! We just let them buzz around as there was no point otherwise!!!
