Flowery Rock face (Armeria maritima)

I can't remember what sort of rocks these are, nor the name to put to the formation of them.

All I can remember is that away back when the lands were forming, they came from an earthquake, which made the rock layers go sideways instead of horizontally. (If anyone can help me, I'd be grateful)

This was the same area as where I took the limpets. There's Sea Thrift growing there too.

That's pretty damn cool looking D! Stupid me had no idea you had earthquakes over there. Any recent ones? I love the look of those rocks!

LOL KC.... there is a fault line runs through the middle of Scotland, and they get the occasional tremors along it. Enough to make the cups rattle.

The earthquake I was referring to in this picture happened when the British Isles emerged from the sea, but at that time it was joined to the continent. Think that would be a bit before we were born;)
