Red-winged Blackbird (female) (Agelaius phoeniceus)

Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus phoeniceus) Female. Monday morning we are headed to the Lower Rio Grande Valley for 8 days so I will not be posting until we get back. Happy Easter, birding and photography!

Habitat
Coastal live oak/yaupon/red bay woods with openings of coastal prairie. The park abuts St. Charles and Aransas Bays.

Goose Island State Park, Rockport, Texas, USA.

I wonder where these blackbirds disappear to during the rest of the year Stanley... it only seems to be around this time that we see pictures of them coming in.
