Ruby-throated Hummingbird (male) (Archilochus colubris)

Sometimes when I'm looking in the woods for a bird capture I catch this sweety staring at me. I think he guards the hummingbird feeder. The problem is I have a bunch of hummingbirds and only one feeder. They work hard letting other hummingbirds know that is their feeder.

Daniel, I think this is an immature male. A female would have a pure white throat.

That aside, this is a beautiful frontal view of this little jewel and captured so nicely buddy.

fabulous head on capture of this hummingbird, Daniel, and an interesting behavior you describe, top marks, many tfs!!!
