What's the difference..?
Between our Oystercatcher and the Pied Oystercatcher I wonder? They basically look the same!

It was a shame the light was in the wrong direction for his colouring, but I couldn't get the other side of him 'cos he moved LOL

to differentiate it from the

and it is in fact the same
bird as ours. Regardless,
as a rose by any other name
would smell as sweet, so this
bird and your photo the same.

Presumably there are some genetic differences, but it's a bit odd! Tfs Delia!

A good thing we don't have both those species in any one place. How would we tell them apart???
