Masked marauder (Sitta europaea)

These guys zip to the feeder then off again, lickedy-split. Yet, somehow in those lightning-fast visits they manage to fill their substantial craws before taking off and can empty even our big drain-pipe feeder in a surprisingly short amount of time ;)

Looks like this excellent seed eater has it turn correctly to make it go down easier. Great action and behavioral picture Doc! TFS!
 
excellent shot of this lovely nuthatch, it's been, for some unclear reason, a couple of years now that they don't visit our feeder, although I hear them in the nearby woods, top class image, Ann, many tfs!!!
