Spotted Flycatcher (Muscicapa striata)

Had a spot a luck while playing in a stream with my daughter we were joined by a pair of Spotted Flycatchers above us, great to watch them chasing after the insects. My second pair this year I have found I am not sure if its just a good year for them or because of the current restrictions I am just going to more favourable spots for these birds?

I've a real soft spot for these delightful flycatchers Tim. They've been getting hard to find up here in recent years.

Perhaps I need to go to some of my previous haunts for them when I can get out further afield!

A super picture this lad - very well done.
