Shy Field Sparrow (Spizella pusilla)

This one kept singing for an hour from the same tree. Had to try to find it and capture a picture. Would not come out into the light.

Nice capture .. sparrows can be tough .. up for look and down they go into cover..

looks like a hefty rig to carry around .. nice area your birding at .. worked for Ball Seed

Co in West Chicago and birded there myself. Your doing great .. keep the faith

Thanks for all the kind comments. Someone recently said to a group of birders that Field Sparrows live in the trees and Tree Sparrows live in the fields. Seems to be true with this one too!
