A great suite of winter photos! Lovely reddish colouration contrasting with the snowy landscape and great head turn showing the pale area around the bill. The lichenlike outgrowth on the colourful patchy bark adds to the attractiveness of the scene--I'm sure this place looks beautiful in summer as well. Congratulations on your lifer and a true (ruby) gem of a bird! A great shame they don't wander off further south!
