Looking in Opus, what's the possibility of it being a [COLOR="Blue"]White-browed Bushchat [/COLOR] - Stoliczka's Bushchat, SK? There's a picture by vaibhav, that looks a dead ringer for your bird: http://www.birdforum.net/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=285517

It's not a Stonechat, as none of them have a supercillium. Maybe worth checking in the ID forum

I think Delia has it here. Although the Asian population of Whinchat that breeds north of India must migrate somehow from East Africa, I can find no info on common routes, or data on any records in India.
Also this photo of a White-browed Bushchat looks spot on.

Never seen one so cannot be more certain.

I never knew that Stonechats had a supercillium at all. We live and constantly learn here, don't we my friend.
