Silver Gull juvenile
The most commonly encountered gull in Australia. Frequently make appearances on television as they fossick around on major cricket fields! Not confined to the coast - anywhere there is a decent-sized body of water (fresh is perfectly acceptable) can have its share of them, often well-inland. Noisy scavengers in waterside areas frequented by picnicking humans.

This one is still in much of its 1st year juvenile plumage.
