Siskin and Catkins (Carduelis spinus)

I wish I could have got some better shots of these Siskins feeding amongst the alders but I had to shoot up into the sky against the light. I couldn't get round the other side as I would have been in the middle of a reedbed - there are limits! Perhaps I will have another chance another time. Ron

Nice shot Ron, I love all the yellow you have in your Siskins over there. I wouldn't have trekked through the reed bed either and I can just about guarantee that if you had the birds would have been gone the second you got into position to take your shot. LOL

Sure you did well not going into the reedbed... it might be infested of snakes! :-O Liked Deanne's remark, very wise! :'D A very pretty Siskin in action to start with, Ron, sure there will be more to pose nicely for you soon!!! :loveme:

At least you got a shot and a good one at that:t:
Don't take Julie up on her offer, her wellies turn her white socks black:eek!:

Still makes for a lovely feeding image Ron!! wish you the best in getting the beautiful Siskin again mate :t::t::t:
