Skylark
I had "Pipit Fever" when I took this and assumed I had some oddity of a Pipit till a few folks set me on the right path, alas, just a Skylark.

Looks more like a lark to me. I'd say Skylark, in your region sometimes split as Japanese Skylark.

An excellent call, I did also notice that it perched much more in the horizontal than other Pipit's I've seen. We just got so caught up in a "Pipit Frenzy" (they were everywhere!) I "assumed" Pipit. Thank you very much for setting me straight!
