Sloggett's Ice Rat (Otomys sloggetti)

This little cutie was photographed at the top of Sani Pass;Lesotho.One of 12 species of Groove-toothed Rats,found throughout Africa,Sloggett's Rats can usually be seen sunning themselves during daylight hours at this spot and are popular with tourists coming to the kingdom.

Reminds me a bit of a Marmot.
 
I've never heard of a Sloggett's Rat until now, and it's a great shot of a cute little beastie - thanks Hans and Judy! :clap:
