Smew Wing Action (Mergus albellus)

Sat on a bank, behind a layer of reeds, watching this beautiful bird, sitting on an ice sheet preening, right down in front of me. I only wish I could have got to this place a few hours earlier, this was taken just as dusk was arriving, I have several shots of this session, but unfortunately most of them are too dark.
