Snipe galore
Early November and Kinnordy had more Snipe than I've ever seen there before - I think someone counted over 100, which means there were probably many more in hiding.

This is just a small sample of them with some friends.

They were on one of the bog bean islands, so a little distant for a small camera.

Incredible image Delia! A veritable Whisp of Snipe (yes I did have to look that up)!

Now I know where and when to go to finally get a good Snipe sighting. Saw what I knew was a snipe in Italy, but didn't list it as it was only a quick view of it in diving into a marsh. I would love to be able to see one. Great photo, Delia.

Most experienced birders say that there are usually 3 times the number of birds you are seeing so you are probably right girl. I tried counting but lost my way ;) A lovely capture D.

LOL!! We struggle to get a good look at even one, while you are treated with hundreds!! Not fair. Super setting & group shot, Delia!! tfs. Your Fuji camera may be small in size but not reach with a whopping 42x zoom, which no dslr lens can achieve!!
