Snowy Egret (Egretta thula subsp. thula) Anauhac National Wildlife Refuge, northwest of High Island abutting East Bay, Chambers County, Texas, USA. Coastal marshes and prairies at 2-3 m (6-10 ft) elevation.
A superb capture with those pretty flowing feathers. Not sure I've ever seen this color of lores on a snowy. Wonder if this might be a hybrid with the little egret? I've read they have this salmon, yellowish color in breeding condition.
