Nice use of the "rule of thirds"; if that was your intent. There are three distinctive zones: the trees, the mid-zone OOF, and the fore-zone. The placement of the bird in the right node and then cropping in horizontal makes this an appealing image. If I have but one nit ;) it would be to create a layer of the trees and apply a little more blur. Nice shot. :t::t: :t: :t:
 
This shot looks fine to me Ray, the eye goes straight to the bird, aint that what its all about? Nice composition, great setting too buddy.
 
Setting? Composition? Appeal? I'd be over the moon just to see these stunning owls ... great shot anyway, I like it!
