Snowy Owl (Nyctea scandiaca)

Went out this morning with our usual Thursday Morning Group in search of Snowy Owls that have been reported on the grasslands of Ft. Edward, NY about 25 miles north of where I live. Even though it was a dreary and rainy morning our group was determined to at least have a go at finding the reported owls. We were rewarded by finding them within minutes of arriving at our destination and they were quite cooperative in sitting on nearby houses and power poles giving us excellent looks.
I believe this one to be an immature female.
