My old location manning the hawk Watch there in the late 90's .. ! yr. we had over 27 thousandfly over.

would love to see one of these my understanding is there are only two owls that are out during the day: Snowy Owl and Barred Owl.

I lived in a place not long ago that had a male and female Barred Owl.
But this owl is very very pretty.
 
Great capture and how neat to have one of these in NJ.... It looks to be shaping up to be a good Snowy Owl winter. There have been lots of them reported in MA and NH as well. HOping I can finally add this bird to my gallery this winter.
 
What a stunner, well captured and nice to have observed, hopefully he's a regular you see
