So far, my Bird of the year!!
I was over in Guadalajara over the weekend, and squeezed in 4 hours of birding. I was able to see three of these beautiful birds. It really never occurred to me to even hope to see one, let alone three. The beautiful eye stripe is quite blue at the correct angle, and the small pair of spades at the end of the tail ae just amazing!!

Good choice for "bird of the year". Their colors are great, but that tail sets them off as something very special.
You have a very nice photo taken in, what appears to be, difficult lighting.
