Solider Fly (Hoplitimyia constans: Stratiomyidae) These flies are from 1.0-1.5 cm (0.39-0.59 in) long. Photographed at Camelot Park, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA. Open park with scattered pecan, hackberry and elm trees at ca. 91 m (300 ft) elevation. Post Oak Savannah Vegetational Area. Watered flower beds adjacent to creek.
