Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good! (Poecile atricapillus)

It was kind of a dreary November late day here in South Carolina so I was shooting at a low shutter speed even at 1250 ISO. This little Chickadee took flight just as I tripped the shutter, producing this amazing photo. I could not replicate this in a million years!

The delineation of the wing feathers reminds me of those amazing black and white high speed images by "Doc" Edgerton!

That's a terrific picture that getting this wee chickadee in flight - an excellent job Scott.

LOL a bit of foresight perhaps lad!!! I'd love to be able to take a picture in the future. ;)
