Song Thrush Close Up (Turdus philomelos)

This young Song Thrush was standing in the car park at Strumpshaw Fen when we left on Saturday. It was extremely confiding allowing some very close up shots. On looking at the photographs, however, I have a horrible feeling that it only has one leg. I hope not. Do they often stand on one leg? Ron
Habitat
Hedgerow
Location
Strumpshaw Fen, Norfolk
Date taken
16/8/08
Scientific name
Turdus philomelos
Equipment used
Olympus E-510 + ED 70-300 + 1.4 tc
Just giving the other leg a breather Ron, lovely shot of a sweet little bird mate.

Thanks Mali, I hope you are right. I took loads of shots and can only see one leg on all of them. It was a beautiful little bird so I hope it's not injured.

Well it had two legs when I photographed it on Thursday Ron:-O unfortunately it was getting dusk and they are not very sharp:-C Nice one:t:

Thanks Freako. I'm feeling happier all the time now. It was a bit dark when I saw it and I had to use 800 ISO. I normally try not to do that as the Oly can get a bit noisy above 400.

A :bounce: on the lovely pic of your juvie-Thrush, Ron, and another :bounce: on knowing it was not injured!!! :t: :t: :t:
