Song Thrush

This Song Thrush perched on my trailer for ages doing a bit of sun bathing, I was only feet away and struggled getting all of the bird in on some pics, was lovely to get so close to it.

Fabulous shot of a lovely little bird J.:t: I have both Song and Mistle nesting in the bushes surrounding my gardens. The Mistle has cleared my guttering of moss for its nesting materials, and I am woken most days to the sound of her shreiking at the tomcat to shift him off the lawn so she can gather worms. The Song Thrush does much the same, but in a far more serene and melodious fashion and doesnt upset my poor old tomcat. :cat:

Hi Julie,

I like this capture and thanks for sharing. Myself and Terry went for a walk in the Churnet Valley last night and we both noted that this year there seemed to be a lot of Song Thrushes about.

GREAT SHOT JULIE,GREAT DETAIL ,ONLY WISH I COULD GET TO SEE ONE ,SEEM TO BE LESS AND LESS ABOUT.

You have so many beautiful photos it was difficult for me to chose. This one won as I really like the intimacy of the shot.

I love when a bird is caught in song. This is lovely. Having never seen one, is this a juvie or an adult?
