Sorry 'bout the twig (Mergus merganser)

but at least the water is lovely, the bird is in focus, and personally I find that whimsical expression priceless (nudge nudge, wink wink).

It’s gorgeous Anne - the ‘twig’ blends in with the reflections in the rest of the water which works really well. As for that look in the eye, that is something most males get at around this time of year 😉

LOL! You're right I even see my husband get that look in his eye now and then ... usually when I bring out a bar of chocolate ;)
