South American Coati (Nasua nasua)

This was a rescue animal that had been released back into the wild, but which apparently lacked fear of humans. These relatives of the Raccoon, are widespread in interior Northern South America, but this is the only one we saw.

Ro Ucayali, Desembocadura, Peru.
