Southern Broken Dash (Wallengrenia otho: Hesperiidae) red form. Wingspan 2.5-3.1 cm (1.0-1.25 in). Photographed on buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis).
Habitat
Post Oak Savannah vegetation area. Upland dominated by post oak and yaupon at 73 m (185 ft) elevation. Low wet depressional area around the Nature Center.

Lick Creek Park, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, USA.
