Southern Lapwing

Southern Lapwing (Vanellus chilensis)

I was testing the image quality you can get when combining the 400 5.6 prime with a Tamron 1.4x TC and was lucky enough to get this portrait of the Lapwing.
Location
Rondinha - Brazil
Date taken
Aug, 09
Scientific name
Vanellus chilensis
Equipment used
40D + 400 5.6 + 1.4x
Image quality looks great! One of my favorite southern birds, and a superb photo of it - you've captured the subtle sheen of the plumage much better than I've ever been able to.

Nice portret with very fine colors.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

An absolute beauty...a superb portrait :clap:
