Sparrow in Firethorn? (Passer domesticus)

First time ever I've seen a couple of Sparrows in my firethorn eating the berries ... very unusual!
I planted this bush approx 7 years ago and till now it were only the Blackbirds who ate the berries ... they have to share them now with the little one I guess.
Location
garden
Date taken
14-AUG-2008
Scientific name
Passer domesticus
Equipment used
Canon 20D, 300mm, 1.4ext
Super shot Jack, amazing what you can do on crutches!
Glad to see Julie agrees with me.............more herons!

Thanks Tilly :t: I took this one sitting in my "comfortable" chair; that's what windows are for ... so you don't have to go outside to go "birding".
Sorry about the amount of Herons - they don't come to visit my garden ;)

A splendid behavioural capture Jack! I've never seen a Sparrow eat fruit or berries before either.
